I bought the 2 for 1 deal and have had the juicer just over a month. I juice for my husband and myself once a day. We are very impressed at how quiet it is and how much juice we get out of carrots. Our last juicer sounded like a remote control airplane and would not juice a carrot. We usually juice 1 apple, 1 pear, a few carrots, 2-3 stalks of celery, and a tiny piece of ginger. That's enough for two large glasses of juice so even though we buy organic it is not so expensive. I also found that cutting the core out of a tomato and then stuffing it with wheat grass gets the most juice for wheat grass. The clean up is easy, I do it by hand and it takes 5 minutes. It has never leaked on the counter although I've never tried to juice enough for an army either. I think for what I want this juicer for it's a 5 star.

I purchased the Juicer Pro some time ago and have had plenty of time to experiment with it. Today, after almost a year after I bought it, I pulled it out again and it again took over an hour and a half to juice one not very ripe, peeled cantaloupe. The problem with the Pro model (I don't know about the others) is a tiny black rubber piece that fits on or in the spout area. It's impossible to know exactly how it's supposed to fit because there is nothing in the manual about it and there are no pictures showing it in the booklets, nor is that piece included on their own website for reorder (if lost - it's very small). The juice does partially flow out the spout, but it also flows out beside the spout area where your glass is not located. It again made a mess all over my countertop and under the machine itself. I took everything apart twice (once after doing 1/2 cantaloupe and once after doing two additional pieces after that). I strongly urge that you do some more research on juicers other than this one. There MUST be something better out there than this awful thing. The rubber piece, by the way, is supposed to be placed in a HOLE in the spout area, which design-wise looks like a complete afterthought. Why would anyone put a hole in the spout where the juice flows out??? Whatever. I'm sure there is some inane reason, but it makes juicing messy work instead of fun.

My husband gave me this juicer for my birthday. I had been squeezing juice by hand which had been messy and didn't allow me to get that much juice out of the orange or lemon. This Hamilton Beach product not only extracted loads more juice, but transfer of the juice from the collector cup to a pitcher was easy and clean up took less than a minute.I do wish that the device was a litte taller so you could actually have a glass in collect the juice, but then the device over all would likely have to be re-engineered for balance or bolted down. It is a bit heavy, but didn't rock when I was ringing the last drop out of the fruit. My sister has an older version that is more metal and less plastic, it looks sleaker, but then again, the older one is heavier still.All in all, I am really happy with it!

This juicer rocks. Not only is it easy to use, virtually dummy proof but it is also easy to clean. The parts come apart easily and whether you clean it by hand or in the dishwasher it cleans up easily. Love the fresh juice and the combinations are endless. The juicer is a little larger than I thought it would be but that's ok because it works so well.

This is my first juicer, so I don't have much to compare it to. But after having it for a month, I do have an impression of its performance and quality.We use it almost daily and put a good variety of fruits and vegetables through it: oranges, grapefruit, pineapple, apples, carrots, celery, beets, etc. It has never gotten clogged up, overheated, or otherwise malfunctioned. It has never spilled/leaked juice all over my counter like I've seen in other posts. There are only about five or six parts to wash after each use, and it disassembles/assembles very easily. One feature I like is that the pitcher that catches the juice has a foam separator -- keeps the foam in the pitcher while you pour out the juice into your glass.I've noticed, however, that the pulp it kicks out is still fairly wet. I'm guessing that with a more expensive machine, I'm going to get drier pulp -- therefore, more juice -- than I'm getting with this machine. Overall though I'm happy with what I've got.

I waited until I'd had mine for a month, to make sure I wasn't missing some problem, but I haven't discovered a single one. I make large quantities of juice nearly every day, and in my view this juicer is efficient and simple to clean. It hasn't overheated, and it's handled every fruit I put in it with no hassle. I do tend to be careful not to overstuff the feed chute, but I've juiced whole apples without a hitch. I consider it a great buy for the money.

"You get what you pay for" 2010-10-09

For a 100 bucks, this is a okay juicer/food processor combo. Still its not a great juicer, you have a good juicer when what is left over is dry, maybe a little wet, but all the remaining pulp is soaking wet. The Food processor is pretty good, but make sure you cut small pieces and only hit the "perfect prep" button two to three times, otherwise you will get liquid onions, that was weird. Would I recommend this product to my friends or family, no, but since I'm stuck with it, I'm not that unsatisfied. It makes enough juice for one person, and serves the needs of just one person decently.The only real downside is the juicer blade "thingy" is impossible to really clean, I've scrubbed it, put it through the dishwasher, soaked it, then scrubbed it, then put it through the dishwasher, and its still not totally clean. I mean the blade is sterile and clean, put I'm just amazed that I can't get that orange carrot stain out. Cleanup isn't too terrible otherwise, everything is fairly easy to rinse and wipe down in less then 10mins, and I ran it through the dishwasher and it appears to be safe. A good tip I read is to use a plastic bag to line the inside of the pulp catcher, and that way you can throw away the pulp without cleaning. I use grocery bags to do it, they work just fine. Also make sure you read the manual, there are a lot of little things you need to know to safely operate the Juiceman.So not bad for $100, but if you want a good juicer or a good food processor, you might have to spend a little bit more money. But if you are just one person, and you don't have a juicer or food processor, this might be something to consider.

I alway wanted a juicer and I decided on this one because you can also use it a a food processor.It makes juices but the slope is still pretty moist. It also has a recipe for wheat grass and I have the feeling it does not extract the wheat grass properly.After a couple of times using it it made a loud crack and since then I have the juice a little bit running out on the side.Bottom line: it does the job. It does it the way it is worth. If you really drink a lot of fresh made juice you should spent more money and get everything out of the fruit.

Please consider that I've never used a juicer before, so this is NOT a comparison between this product and others. It's probably more useful to those who are new to juicing.First point: The juicer does a good job. It makes juice and is relatively problem free. As someone new to juicing, the cost and level of work involved was a bit of a surprise to me. Having said that:

PROS

*Seems solidly constructed

*Works as advertised

*Doubles as a food processor, but we didn't try that functionality

CONS

*Juice spout is diagonal instead of directed downward, so some juice "spray" can miss your receptacle

*It's a lot of effort and requires a lot of cleaning

If you grow your own fruits and vegetables and enjoy juice, then a juicer like this may well be a good investment. But be prepared to put some effort into the process!

I have both a full size juicer and a full size food processer, stored away in a cupboard in their original boxes. Not that I've never used them, I have. But they are so big I can't keep them on the counter.The very cool thing about this item, is that it doesn't take up any more room than a normal sized blender, so you can actually leave it out on the counter, and you know, use it.The juicer is the perfect size.The food processer is bigger than those mini ones you see, so from that perspective it's great, and probably good for daily type use. It might be a tinge too small for the kinds of things I use a processer for, but having it right there, I will probably find new ways to use my processer.

Overall, very handy!

I was pleased to get the opportunity to test out the device, however, a bit intimidated by the amount of parts, and the instructions, which required me to peel the lemons and seed them before making lemon juice. It seems far easier simply to juice them the old fashioned way, rather than to go to such lengths, and then also to have to clean the device after. Cutting 6 lemons and using a hand juicer takes about ¼ of the time of using a device such as this to do the same thing.In general, I'm not a big fan of devices that multi-function. When I use a food processor, I want to use a food processor, when I use a juicer; I want it to be just a juicer. Also, since my kitchen is fairly tiny, a device such as this one, which has lots of extra attachments is not something I would seek out, because smaller parts tend to get lost or not stay together, and this device is fairly large, and keeping parts together outside of the box is a challenge. If you are space conscious you might want to think about this before ordering this model, especially if you already own food processor.My test was making apple juice. I peeled, cored the apples, set up the machine (I like its handy suckered feet), and ran the apples through the machine. It produced a mug of apple juice with apple foam on top. Everyone stated the apple juice tasted good. It was fast and efficient once the food was prepared. It performed as advertised.Was it worth the effort of the cleaning of multiple parts? If you are a fresh juice fan, perhaps. Personally, I don't see myself wanting to use the device for anything but times when I want to do a lot of bulk items, such as making apple cider, or processing large amount of fruits. For one or two smoothies? I Would use a blender. Fewer parts, and less time involved.This devices worked well as advertised, but it was too bulky and unweildy for my kitchen and day to day use it wasn't practical.
